Blog Revamp for Different Ideals

Eye for the World was the blog title that used to contain the musings of my mind in a rather non-organized manner. It frequently had stories of my life, updates on accomplishments, and tales of my adventures. While many of those aspects will appear in Peak Fortitude, the general theme of the blog has shifted and therefor the title demanded a change. Eye for the world is gone, time for new movements.

Peak Fortitude is about the explorations of my personal territory. From here on out the focus of my writing will be about the life experiments I attempt, the goals I set and my strides toward accomplishing them, the improvement and changes in my mental and physical status, and finally motivation for others to pursue the betterment and success of their own lives.

I do concede that I am not the greatest example of personal success or sticking with my own goals. Often times my ideas are lofty and don't get more than a few days of effort. Others I'm still actively pursuing. Discipline is a work in progress for me. That doesn't mean I can't make the effort to motivate and push others into finding their own success and plan to continue to do so through a vigorous blogging, twitter, and instagram campaign. In return I hope that people will continue to inspire and motivate me towards my own goals. The give and take is an integral part of what I want to achieve with my writing.

To show my goal here as concisely as possible I named the blog Peak Fortitude. Peak meaning "the maximum point, degree, or volume of anything" and also referencing mountain peaks as my writing will often center around the outdoors, and Fortitude: mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously. This captures most closely what I want to purvey, and work on in my life. The highest point of mental, emotional, and physical strength.

To show my willingness to attempt absurdly bold tasks this is my goal list for the first quarter of 2015. A friend of mine once told me that I should spend less time talking about my goals and more time working on them, and I whole heartedly agree, but I feel drastically less personal accountability if I don't risk facing the shame of others watching me fail to reach my goals. Think of this as my stick and success as my carrot.
